Sightfield Go Terms of Service
Last updated September 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of Sightfield Go, the traveler app at go.sightfield.co, provided by Sightfield, Inc. (“Sightfield”, “we”, “us”) of Dublin, Ohio, USA. By opening a guide in Go or creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Go.
What Go is
Go opens, saves, and carries guides that other people — hotels, destinations, planners, creators — publish with Sightfield Maps. Go is free for travelers. We do not create or verify the guides it shows; each guide belongs to its publisher, and publishing is governed by the separate Sightfield Maps terms.
Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Go, and old enough to enter into this agreement where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree to it for you. Opening a guide needs no account. Saving one, or marking and annotating places, does: you sign in with your email address and a code we send to it. Keep that mailbox secure — anyone who controls it can sign in as you. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and you agree to give us an email address you own.
Your content
Marks and notes you add to a place are yours. You give us the license we need to store them and show them back to you, on every device you sign in from, and nothing more. We do not publish them, and we do not show them to the guide’s publisher.
Publishers’ content
The guides in Go — their names, places, descriptions, photos, and branding — belong to their publishers or the publishers’ licensors. You may open, save, and use them for your own personal, non-commercial travel. You may not copy a guide’s content out of Go at scale, republish it, or present it as your own. A publisher can update or unpublish a guide at any time; a guide you saved may then change, show as unavailable, or keep showing an older copy until Go can refresh it.
If you believe content in a guide infringes your rights or is unlawful, email info@sightfield.co with the guide and the specific content, and we will review it.
Offline copies
A saved guide is cached on your device so it opens without a connection. The copy is a convenience for your own use: it can be out of date, it does not include the map background, and it can be cleared by your browser at any time. Keep anything you cannot afford to lose somewhere else as well.
Place information
Places close, move, change hours, and change hands. Directions are provided by third-party mapping services. Go is not a navigation, emergency, or safety service; use judgment, verify what matters, and follow local laws and conditions.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- disrupt Go, probe or circumvent its security, or access parts of it you were not given;
- request sign-in codes for addresses you do not own, or use automated tools to do so;
- scrape, crawl, or bulk-download guides or the services behind them;
- reverse-engineer Go except where the law allows it regardless of this term;
- use Go to store or transmit anything unlawful, harassing, or infringing.
Third-party services
Go relies on services we do not control — Mapbox for the map background, Google Maps for directions, the hosts a publisher stores photos with, and Google Firebase for accounts and storage. Those services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
Changes to Go
Go is free, and we intend to keep it free for travelers. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, or Go itself, at any time. If we ever introduce paid features, they will be clearly marked and optional.
Ending your use
You can stop using Go at any time, remove guides from your library, and ask us to delete your account by emailing info@sightfield.co. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other users, a publisher, or the service at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Disclaimer
Go and the guides in it are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of any place, availability of any guide, or uninterrupted or offline operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sightfield will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Go or of any guide it shows. Our total liability for any claim relating to Go will not exceed one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where that is the case they apply to the extent permitted.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you consent to their jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Go evolves. The current version is always at this address, with the date above. A material change will be noted in the app before it takes effect; continuing to use Go afterwards means you accept it.
